Paisley is getting ready for the return of its popular Food and Drink Festival with the two-day extravaganza set to take place next week.
The event, which is one of Scotland’s largest outdoor food and drink festivals, takes place in the stunning backdrop of the town’s iconic Abbey on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 April.
Visitors can enjoy a tasty line-up with more than 35 street food traders, artisan makers and licensed bars, live music and entertainment, kids workshops and fun for all ages.
Platform independent street food market is back at this year’s event, bringing along top street food vendors and delicious dishes from around the world.
More returning favourites include Three Sisters Bake, Edin-Burgers, Brigston & Co. artisan hotdogs and Greek Street Food, as well as the Fizzbuz prosecco van and Rum Shack Caribbean bar, which are sure to offer a tasty tipple for the grown-ups.
There’s a host of new festival faces to sample, including a range of global tastes at The Fat Flamingo, sweet treats from Love is Churros, fresh flavours from the Mediterranean and Middle East with Lemon Squeezy, Dirty Bird fried chicken and mouth-watering spices from Free The Chilli.
Event organisers are teaming up with Renfrewshire CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) once again to host a dedicated Beer Tent at the festival grounds. The Renfrewshire CAMRA Beer Tent will have a vast selection of cask conditioned ales and craft beers available for connoisseurs and those looking to try something new.
A host of Renfrewshire favourites will also be on hand to serve up some tasty treats, including woodfired Scozzese Pizza, Porelli Loop and Scoop, Japan Street Food, Café Fairfull, Dark God rum and Two Towns Down Brewing.
There’s something to suit all tastes at the festival, including a range of delicious gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. Plus, there’s lots of fun for the kids on Saturday with fantastic food workshops, free face painting and fun games with Community Circus Paisley.
The Live Stage music and entertainment is not to be missed with a fantastic line-up programmed by the Rum Shack on Friday evening and Paisley’s famous The Bungalow music venue on Saturday. The Keg will also have a special Stage & Bar with a programme of brilliant live bands across the two days.
